AMC Search is the commercial arm of the Australian Maritime College, situated n Launceston. The company currently holds the Department of Defence contract to train the crews of 21 Pacific Patrol Boats who come from 13 nations. This contract currently runs until Jun 2020, with the prospect of continuing training for the new vessels which are under construction. AMC Search has a national and international reputation for providing high quality maritime consultation, research and training.
AMC Search is looking for an experienced mariner, suitably qualified to work with a dedicated team training Pacific Island police and navy personnel in a number of related maritime fields. The position will have training coordination duties for Safety and Emergency Response training under the above contract. Dependant on the selected candidate, duties could also include training in bridge watch keeping, navigation, communications, seamanship and management.
