Applications are invited from qualified and experienced classroom teachers for a specialist role in teaching Theatre and Dance. Based at our Wheelers Hill Campus this is a full-time position to commence in 2019. The successful applicant will demonstrate a passion for engaging and challenging students and for utilising learning technologies. Enjoying a well resourced faculty with passionate and committed students you will be a key member of our school community.
Duties
- Review and assess students at the beginning of each program
- Integrate Formative Practice Techniques
- Provide a flexible program that caters for individual students
- Deliver learning programs that demonstrate a research based knowledge of how students learn
- Evaluate personal teaching and learning programs including feedback from students and assessment data to inform planning
- Model high expectations to enable a safe and supportive classroom culture
- Provide reports within school standards and timelines
- Demonstrate Artistry
- An ability to direct and create exciting and ground breaking performances
- Maintain and build an engaging co-curricular programs
- Actively contribute to the culture of the program
- Actively participate in professional development activities
Selection Criteria
- Teaching qualifications
- Current VIT Registration
- Experience teaching dance and theatre up to VCE level
- MYP (IB) experience advantageous
