Your new company
This family run long day care centre, located in Vineyard, is currently looking for a passionate Early Childhood teacher to join their team. The centre prides itself on its outdoor space, which has recently been refurbished, allowing children and educators to explore and connect with nature. The centre has an animal corner for children to develop responsibility and empathy, as well as bringing a unique feel to the service. The rooms boast large bright spaces and have excellent resources, as well as the ability to utilise the rural area to go on excursion and build strong relationships with the local community.
Your new role
As an ECT room leader you will be responsible for the smooth day to day running of your room. You will utilise the skills and knowledge of your team to create an inclusive and engaging program for your children. You will have a collaborative leadership style that shares responsibilities and brings the team together as collective to achieve your common goals.
You will have excellent knowledge of the EYLF and NQS, demonstrating the ability to mentor and develop other educators across the service. You will also be looking for a long term commitment where you can develop your career into a leadership role, as 2IC or Educational Leader, in the future. You will also be supported in your professional growth through paid formal training and development opportunities.
This role is flexible with taking on responsibility as the Room Leader of the Toddlers or Preschool age groups, based on your abilities and preferences.
What you'll need to succeed
- Early Childhood Teacher degree - ACECQA assessed
- A collaborative team approach
- Excellent knowledge of the EYLF and NQS
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
