Emerald Carrying Company is a leading provider of logistics services and operates along the Eastern sea board and throughout Central Australia with specialist divisions in Bulk Liquids and General Freight.
Due to the continuous growth of the company, we are currently seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join the team in Townsville. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, customer and safety focused and experienced in handling of bulk dangerous goods liquids.
Reporting to the Depot Manager, the purpose of this role is to direct, co-ordinate and supervise a fleet to achieve service objectives.
About the position:
The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:
- The day to day coordination of the company drivers and fleet;
- Ensuring the depot complies with all statutory codes including customer and company policies, procedures and standards;
- Optimising the scheduling of deliveries to meet customer service requirements and company goals;
- Ensuring deliveries are made on time and in full;
About the person:
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience in bulk liquids or transport industries;
- Knowledge of the requirements of the Dangerous Goods Code;
- Experience in safe operation of a tanker fleet;
- High level organisational and time management skills;
- Ability to analyse information and make well-informed decisions promptly;
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence a team;
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; and
- Demonstrated sound knowledge of freight and bulk liquids handling and previous fleet control experience.
