Your new company
Your new company is an industry leader in warehousing and logistics. As the new financial year has begun, they have seen a significant increase in activity and as such, various positions have/will become available over the coming weeks and months. Some of these positions will offer continuous work and other projects may be short term by nature.
Your new role
Based within the Canberra team, your new role will require attention to detail and a safe, efficient approach to driving operations. As an experienced Driver, you will be responsible for driving for most of the day and loading/unloading when necessary. You will be delivering products from the store or warehouse to building sites and be expected to assist with picking orders and organising equipment, as needed.
What you'll need to succeed
To cement your success in this position, you will need previous store/building experience within a team environment and a current MR, HR or HC Licence. An LF (forklift) ticket is beneficial but not essential. Previous experience working in general freight transport (or similar), familiarity with the Canberra area and the ability to conduct manual labour as required will be essential. You may be required to undergo a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol test prior to commencement.
