StraBe Group provides design & engineering, manufacture and installation and maintenance programs for a wide range of government and non government infrastructure projects across our great country.

About the role

You will be completing all tasks and duties required for driving long-distance deliveries as well as some local jobs.

Tasks and duties will include:

• carrying out routine vehicle checks
• Develop run schedule including liaising with project managers and dispatch personnel.
• loading product onto the truck using a forklift, crane or other lifting equipment.
• Cleaning and maintaining vehicle.
• making sure that the load is correctly placed and is secure.
• driving vehicles to their destination (usually construction sites) and unloading according to site requirements.
• Obtaining sign off off goods at delivery.
• Pick up of back loads including using truckit and loadshift.
• maintaining a log book with details of trips, including rest breaks on long trips.
• customer service.

Skills and experience

To successfully secure this opportunity, you must:

• have at least four years truck-driving experience
• Have an outstanding driving record.
• have an MR or higher licence
• hold a white Card
• be reliable, punctual and self-motivated
• have a great attitude and strong work ethic
• be capable and confident in your ability.
