The Position 

This rapidly expanding organisation is in need of an experienced Mechanical Fitter – Leading hand for an immediate start. This is a great opportunity to work with an industry leader in innovative equipment Design and Manufacture.

As Mechanical Fitter – Leading Hand you will: 

  • have the opportunity to work on innovative, cutting edge projects within the mining, rail, defense, motorsport and construction equipment  
  • be exposed to the latest technology in equipment, software, systems and machinery 

Responsibilities include: 

  • manage daily operations i.e. the assembly and servicing of mechanical equipment (including diagnostics)
  • oversee part coordination
  • track and manage project delivery schedule and highlight possible delays and issues
  • manage open communicating within the team to ensure deadlines are met
  • have the ability to interpret technical design drawings

 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 5+ year experience in the manufacturing industry with good exposure to hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Australian Mechanical Trade Certificate (Fitting & Turning) or equivalent
  • Strong communication skills
  • Promote and ensure safe work practices
  • Demonstrate a flexible and can do attitude
  • A current Queensland Drivers License
