ABOUT THE COMPANY

ABOUT THE ROLE
Working within the Customer Service Team, this role calls for a Customer Service Representative with previous experience in a similar role within International Freight Forwarding. Maintaining a portfolio of accounts, you will work closely with your clients and internal departments to ensure the smooth execution of freight movements.
An experienced operator looking to make a transition will also be looked on favorably

DUTIES
• Working closely with your client portfolio
• Manage a portfolio made up of local forwarders with no representation at origin
• Facilitating shipments from time the order is placed through to client delivery
• Monitoring and/or processing all incoming orders, handling exceptions
• Communicating delays / issues with client promptly
• Ensuring cargo availability / delivery is as per clients’ request and expectations
• Involvement in reporting and streamlining processes to improve client experience

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 
• Minimum 6 -12 months local experience in Customer Service or Operations
• EDI Cargowise experienced preferred however not essential
• Excellent written and oral communication
• Strong customer service capabilities
• Ability to multi task and prioritise / re-priorities as required
• Solid team player, with an attitude towards learning and progression
