About the company
Aus Pits is a national leader in pre-cast manufacturing specialising in custom concrete pits, covers and associated products for all types and sizes of civil construction and infrastructure projects.
About the role
The objective of the role is to manage efficient and cost effective use of transport to deliver of high volumes of pre-cast structures to external clients across the eastern sea board. Reporting to the Site Manager, Murwillumbah, the role is varied and fast paced, so you will need to be dependable, well organised and have excellent attention to detail.
Duties
Duties will include:
- Liaising with clients to arrange on site deliveries
- Liaising with logistic and transport companies to coordinate on-time delivery of products
- Maintaining accurate and up to date records of loading and delivery dockets using approved company methods and system
- Management of returned goods
- Monitoring and controlling Work In Progress levels in manufacturing areas
- Ensuring compliant product loading of trucks
- Working collaboratively with internal staff regarding expected delivery dates.
- Upholding product quality standards and ensuring the dispatch of correct products
- Maintaining production boards
- Communicating via email and handling phone enquiries regarding deliveries / orders
- Updating intranet and online databases
- Assisting with site stocktake
- Undertaking duties reasonably required by Management
Skills and experience
- Be a team player who operates well in a small close knit team..
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Proven knowledge of transport systems and load optimisation
- Robust understanding of Chain of Responsibility and legislation relevant to the transport industry
- Proficient working knowledge and understanding of computer systems particularly MS Office packages including Word, Excel and Outlook
