QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICER

Robinson Packers located in the heart of Queensland where quality produce is grown and harvested. We are a manufacturer of quality semi dried tomatoes. Our factory standards meet stringent customer compliance.
About the role:
This is a Casual position(initially up to 10 hours per week) as the role follows the seasonality of the produce. The role of the Quality Assurance Officer is to implement the internal program of QA duties internal quality systems and reviews to ensure systems are up to date and complete. The role will be based in Bowen Queensland and will be reporting to the Group Quality Assurance Manager.
Key responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include (but not limited to) the following activities:
- Handling Laboratory routine testing & validations
- QA/QC (NCR, Sampling)
- Business systems (HACCP including Internal audits & customer audits). Ensure HACCP, CCP validation /verification
- Customer complaints support
- Document Control support including data entry
- Reporting to Group Quality Assurance Manager
To be considered for this role, you will have:
The role will ideally suit someone who is looking to build and develop their QA/QC skills and who genuinely enjoys working with their colleagues to deliver quality products. The successful candidate will have a positive “can-do” attitude coupled with the following experience and attributes:
- Previous QA/QC experience within a similar manufacturing environment;
- Previous experience with regular factory floor presence
- Completed an accredited HACCP course and Diploma of Food Safety Quality Assurance Management.
- A genuine interest and desire to work in QA/QC;
- Strong teamwork skills;
- Strong attention to detail with solid organisational skills and capabilities in terms of prioritising work and meeting deadlines;
- Ability to work autonomously, has strong initiative coupled with the alibility to work without supervision;
- Solid experience using MS Office (Outlook, Work, Excel, PowerPoint)
