With a national footprint of 500 outlets, and an innovative, diverse and open-minded culture, we are currently offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced and inquisitive Supply Chain Excellence Manager to help us pioneer the way for Ruralco best practice.

About the Opportunity:

Reporting to the National Supply Chain Manager, the purpose of your role is to establish a supply chain centre of excellence in terms of service, productivity and safety. Working collaboratively with warehouse management, purchasing, supply chain and other internal stakeholders, you will develop and execute changes to achieve best practice and beyond within our national supply chain division, including:

• Building and maintaining manning standards that accurately reflect current processes.
• Driving simplification of our business and reduce our cost of doing business while increasing our levels of service and value to our customers.
• Ensure that systems and processes are in place and to meet the needs of our online ordering system
• Forecast potential opportunities and threats and anticipate possible consequences of actions
• Actively participate as a member of the broader supply chain team and demonstrates leadership to move the team forward to the completion of strategic goals.

About You:

This role is an integral role to achieving our five-year strategic goals and for the right person, presents a real opportunity for future career progression. To be considered for this role you will demonstrate:

• A positive approach and the ability to influence
• Drive and determination to implement change
• Strategic planning skills, processing mapping and analytical capabilities
• Transport improvement experience, ideally with exposure to supply chain network design
• Strong leadership disposition and experience presenting to senior leaders
• Understanding of continuous improvement methodology, Lean and Six Sigma (Minimum Green Belt accredited)

We are on the lookout for a high performing individual so whilst skills and experienced are important, we are focused on identifying someone who demonstrates enthusiasm, with the able to influence and gain agreement to proposals, plans and ideas; as well as a commitment to quality. A driver’s license is essential.
