The Company
A great career opportunity is immediately available for a significant sized Transport and Logistics business unit within a large logistics corporate owning more than 400 heavy vehicles in operation across NSW. They operate one of Australia’s largest dedicated fleets, providing bulk transport and logistics solutions for different business within industrial sector.
The Opportunity
The transport area has been restructured to improve their services with an energetic and self-motivated team of allocators. This is an excellent opportunity for career progression within the group with a very competitive remuneration package. The allocation is between 200 and 250 loads a day in multiple trucks returning to their sites throughout the day for the next load, more than 1000 decisions need to be done per day as well as the communication with drivers, customers, suppliers and transport staff.
The Role
In this role you will be responsible for allocating trucks to the sites throughout Sydney, ensure jobs are allocated in a manner that ensure safety and legal compliance, responding to drivers and customer service staff promptly, resolution of disputes, develop professional culture with drivers and customers, achieve the highest level of customer service and communicate in a strong and effective way with all levels.
Your Profile
To be considered for this role you will be an experienced allocator of road transport with a solid background in manufacturing industry or courier transport and enjoys working in a fast paced busy working environment.
