The LEGRA group of companies is dedicated to supply and service to the Mining Industry worldwide.

Legra Engineering manufactures and supplies specialist Dewatering Pumping Equipment to open cut and underground mines. Blasthole pumps are sold worldwide to the explosive industry for Mining and Quarry applications. Legra pumping equipment is manufactured at our Mackay and Hunter Valley Engineering workshops. With continuing strong growth in our operations we require experienced Fitters at our Mackay workshops.

Job tasks and responsibilities

The successful applicants duties will include,

• Assembly of New Legra Pumping Equipment and products. 
• Repairs and Maintenance to existing Legra products.
• Manufacture of hydraulic hoses and fluid conduits. 
• Timely diagnosis of hydraulic and extra low voltage control system faults. 
• Availability for occasional site work. 

Skills and experience

• Must be trade qualified Fitter (or have sufficient experience in this field to be competent)
• Experience with hydraulic and electric over hydraulic components and control systems.
• Experience in hydraulic hose and fluid conduits desirable.
• Experience in PLC installation and programing desirable but not essential.
• Current LF class High Risk Licence preferable but not essential.
• Current C class Drivers Licence preferable but not essential (provisional licence holders are OK).
