An opportunity has become available to work with a leading organisation with strong values, driven culture and continued growth within the Seafood industry. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Supervisor to join our Processing team. This diverse role reports to the Operations Manager.

The ideal candidate will possess hands on supervisory experience in a busy factory environment, ideally in the frozen or chilled food industry. You will be familiar with modern management practices, and you will be customer focused with a capacity to handle multiple tasks whilst working to tight deadlines. The ideal candidate will also maintain a strong work ethic with a dedication to meeting customer and company goals.

 Overall Accountabilities:

  • Monitoring and coordinating employee performance
  • Planning and monitoring of production activity
  • Maintaining a competent and motivated workforce
  • Ensuring compliance with our Quality Assurance requirements
  • Encouraging and building a strong safety culture
  • Monitoring equipment and workforce efficiency, taking action to improve where necessary
  • Supervise daily activities to ensure that work is performed safely, efficiently and in accordance with company procedures and legislation
  • Participate in and lead regular communication to ensure effective resource planning in line with volume expectations, leave requirements and planned and unplanned absenteeism
  • Collaborate and maintain a high level of cooperation with other supervisory staff on all matters related to service, cost and productivity
  • Ensuring compliance with our Quality Assurance requirements

To be successful in the above position you will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Experience supervising Production teams in a fast paced environment
  • Highly developed planning and organisational skills
  • The ability to take responsibility, work independently as well as being part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills with the ability to interact effectively with staff at all levels
  • Sound knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Experience in applying proactive OH&S practices
