Sphere Healthcare is a leading contract manufacturer of Complementary Healthcare Products, based in Sydney with easy access to major motorways.
We are currently recruiting for a highly motivated and experienced Gardener/Yardman. Ideally you will have a love of working outdoors and take pride in a high level of garden presentation. This role would suit a mature person with strong experience in landscaping/gardening who has an enthusiastic and energetic attitude. Applicants should be able to work unsupervised and have a strong work ethic.
The Role:
- Appreciation for a high level of garden presentation
- Establishment of newly planted gardens
- Rejuvenation of older gardens
- Overseeing the presentation of company gardens
- Mowing of lawns and edging
- Planting, Pruning and mulching
- Weed, pest and disease control/identification
- Spraying and manual weeding
- Maintain well kept walkways and driveways
- Cleaning/storage of gardening tools
- Observe WH&S standards and practices
Skills:
- Proven experience in commercial garden maintenance
- An interest in gardens, enthusiasm and genuine will to work
- A good knowledge of plants, pest and diseases
- Experience in garden maintenance such as pruning, techniques, mulching, fertilizing
- Excellent time management skills, reliable and honest
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Forklift license preferred but not essential
- Must be physically fit (manual handling required) and have a diligent attitude
- Successfully complete GMP and Aptitude quiz as well as an induction
Being a motivated individual who is interested in commercial garden maintenance could make you the successful candidate for this role. A strong awareness of Chinese culture and language would also be an advantage.
