Hays are seeking experienced general labourers for multiple positions.
Your new company
We currently have multiple positions with a number of key clients in the Canberra ACT Warehousing, Logistics and Manufacturing market. As business is booming they are seeking experienced general labourers to assist during this period. Great opportunity to learn and grow with some of Canberra’s most reputable businesses.
Your new role
You will be responsible for assisting with daily duties including heavy lifting, security of vehicles and equipment while on duty, complying with all WHS standards and procedures, taking every care with the handling and transportation of goods, maintaining a personal neat and tidy appearance and other duties as requested. Work may include but not limited to Factory work, Offsider and warehouse operative.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful for this role you must have the following
- Proven experience in a similar position or environment
- Be physically able to perform all work in relation to the position, heavy lifting is essential.
- A comprehensive understanding of relevant WHS legislation
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- A valid white card and asbestos awareness
- Current C class driver’s licence is a must.
- Any relevant tickets or licenses such as truck licences (MR, HR, HC, MC) forklift license (LF, LO) will be highly beneficial.
What you'll get in return
In return you will gain temporary and casual roles with a view to permanency for the right person. You will be paid with above award wages and all industry allowances on a weekly basis. Additionally, you will receive the opportunity to gain more contract work with Hays once this contract has finished.
