The Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager - Implementations & Business Development, the primary focus for this role is to proactively manage national transport projects across the Toll Global Logistics Division. This role will see you working closely with key stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and adhering to the Toll Group Business strategy. Key responsibilities of this role will include;
You will be responsible for:
- Managing large and often complex transport and logistics contract implementations through their full lifecycle
- Supporting business development managers with project management expertise throughout tender responses, including presenting project management material to customers
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, and contributing to the ongoing development of the Project Management Methodology
- Analysing business operations for improvement opportunities using business process mapping, Lean tools or data analysis
- Delivering all project objectives while demonstrating personal leadership of HSE standards, compliance and initiatives.
- Leading short-timeframe business review projects and drafting recommendation reports for senior management consideration
- Engaging with and managing diverse stakeholders throughout the life of the project
To be successful you will possess previous experience:
- Strong Project Management background, or demonstrable experience having delivered large scale, integrated programs in a complex business environment
- Experience managing the full lifecycle of projects with a proven understanding of business requirements and outcomes
- Extensive experience in stakeholder management - from front line staff to General Management level
- You will have exceptional communication skills, with the ability to create and convey clear and realistic plans while collaboratively working with others to help them understand what needs to be done.
- Strong commercial acumen
- Demonstrated ability preparing formal project documentation
- Hold a Project Management Certification - PMP or Prince2
- Degree qualified
The successful applicant will need to pass the medical requirements for this role and undertake relevant inductions.
