We are seeking applications from experienced QA Engineer to join our rail-vehicle maintenance team at our West Melbourne maintenance facility. Reporting to the Quality Manager Services - Australia, the successful candidate will assist the team in meeting all customer and regulatory requirements through supporting the ongoing implementation and development of Bombardier’s quality assurance processes.
Your key responsibilities will include the following:
- Identify and understand quality issues through executing the project’s non-conformance, corrective action and auditing activities.
- Lead the resolution of quality and technical issues using formal problem-solving methods and liaising with technical staff as well as internal and external suppliers.
- Assist in maintaining and developing accurate and relevant documented information associated with rail-vehicle maintenance.
- Monitor and report on the quality management system status
- Assist in maintaining calibrated equipment
It is expected you will have the following qualifications, experience and personal characteristics:
- Degree qualification or equivalent in Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering
- 1–3 years experience in a manufacturing/heavy industry work environment
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of quality standard (ISO9001) and quality tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and team orientated
