Purpose of the role

Ingham’s is a fast-paced stable company that offers a diverse working environment and where the safety of our people always comes first. In our Feedmill division we are hard-working team players and problem solvers who are passionate about improving efficiencies and delivering the highest quality product to our customers. We have a new Feedmill opening in Murray Bridge and are looking for Feedmill Operators to join our new facility.

Hours of work

We are looking for workers who are flexible to cover various shifts as and when the need arises in order to support the team. This role requires individuals to work rotating AM, PM and Night shifts on a Monday to Friday Roster.

Accountabilities

Prepare and set-up work area for daily production

Monitor and mix raw materials according to feed type formula to meet company standards and specifications

Prepare and produce various pre-mixes batches for production

Monitor machine performance ( Batch Weigher Control Panel, Mixer and Press) constantly and make adjustments as required under supervision

Licensed forklift operations

Cleaning duties and maintaining a clean work space.

Storing and maintaining materials, equipment and tools

Undertake basic mechanical maintenance and report defects

Complete manual handling duties -lifting, pulling, pushing, bending and reaching

Being an active, respectful team member that is reliable and honours work commitments

Get involved with safety, follow the safety rules, speak up and be mindful of risks

Skills required

• Capability to perform repetitious tasks efficiently, correctly and systematically in accordance with policies and standards
• Ability to understand, correctly interpret and follow instructions, procedures and information
• Mechanical aptitude
• Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment
• To be able to successfully communicate written and verbally
• A record showing work commitment, reliability and motivation
• Ability to respond calmly and methodically when faced with obstacles
• Good levels of fitness are required as you will manually handle up to 15kg- 20kg
• Forklift license
• Boiler ticket is desirable
