Monson Logistics are seeking a motivated, organized and reliable Workshop Trades assistant to join our fleet maintenance team at our Burnie depot.
This is a permanent full time position which may involve some after hours and Weekend work.
The successful applicant is required to be presentable, well-spoken and able to liaise with suppliers and staff.
To be eligible for this position the applicant must meet the following requirements:
- Must be an experienced trades assistant, with experience in the Transport industry.
- Assist Mechanics in Transport related services, Prime movers, semi-trailers, Forklifts.
- Perform assembly and dismantling of Transport equipment
- knowledge of how to use hand and power tools.
- Conduct general workshop/yard cleanliness.
- Work within a team environment
- Have a committed work ethic
- Capacity to work alone when required
- Must be fit and capable of physical work
- Manage OH&S and environmental hazards in the workplace.
- Must have current Car and Forklift license.
- HR/HC license preferred but not required.
