Ararat Jewellery is serving Melbourne’s finest retail jewellers.

Ararat Jewellery is currently seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join our Melbourne jewellery manufacturing workshop.

You will be reporting directly to the Head Jeweller.

This occupation mainly includes duties to make and repair jewellery out of variety of materials.

Responsibilities will include:

• Hand fabricating jewellery using gold and precious metals
• Checking possibilities of designs and specifications for jewellery
• Engraving designs on ring settings and other products
• Shaping metal by using special hand and power tools
• Assembly articles according to the design
• Securing the articles using specific methods
• Smoothing and checking finished products
• Carrying out repair and restyling work
• Finishing articles by smoothing and polishing
• Draw jewellery designs using CAD
• Setting stones

Essential Skills:

• Attention to detail and driven to manufacture high quality jewellery
• Work well in a fast-paced high volume environment
• Self-motivated and able to work both autonomously and in a team environment.
• Passionate about jewellery & committed to excellence
• 2 years Rhino or Matrix experience preferred
• 3 years in high volume jewellery manufacturing experience preferred
