Our client is a glass and aluminium designer, manufacturer and installation contractor for the construction industry. Due to their continued expansion they are now looking for an experienced Procurement Administrator to join their Sydney team.
Overall the role will be to
- Ensure the efficiency and integrity of the purchasing and inventory systems
- Utilise the inhouse software to ensure the accurate allocation and tracking of all inventoried items
- Enable timely purchase of goods and / or services and equipment to meet the needs of the Project schedule and Company.
- Prepare documents to process and issue purchase orders to vendors and subcontractors.
- Goods Receipt and stock movements of materials.
- Generate regular reports required by the Procurement Department Manager and Company functions.
- Work with and consult with key staff as identified within the Global and Local Department Processes.
- Other administrative functions within Procurement e.g. printing, scanning, archiving etc
Any previous experience within large commercial scale facade / windows industries will be highly regarded as would any relevant tertiary level qualifications.
You will need:
- Proven experience in a similar procurement role ideally on a national and/or international level
- Well-developed organisational and communication skills and the ability to liaise with vendors / suppliers etc.
- Some ability to understand technical discussions regarding materials, products and engineering parts etc.
- Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
- A good level of IT literacy – experience of SAP would be an advantage
- Self-motivated, energetic, driven and approachable
