We are seeking experienced Import Sea Freight Operator to join our team. This position is based in our Banksmeadow site and will report to the Seafreight Supervisor.

The Role:

• Prepare Import documentation in sea freight (FCL, LCL, FCX and FAK)
• Monitor shipments closely to ensure they move as booked
• Contact overseas agents for any additional documentation
• Liaising with overseas agents, shipping lines and co loaders via phone and email
• Sea Cargo Automation – Prepare SCA for jobs & ensure SDV comply with the Australian Customs Reporting requirements
•  lodging manifests with co loaders
• Coordinate FCL & LCL Cartage with Transport department
• Coordinating EDO’s
• Process job related Supplier Invoices within the specified timeframe
• Invoicing jobs as required
• Following up COD & Disbursement payments
• Ensure filing is consistently done & maintained

The candidate:

To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate:

• Previous experience in Freight Forwarding – Import Sea Freight Role
• Experience with EDI Cargowise
• Experience with Customs ICS
• Ability to prioritise workload and work well under pressure
• Ability to problem solve and work in a team
• Strong attention to detail
• Shows Initiative
• Ability to adapt to change
• Professionalism
