Our client is a leading Agriculture producer / storage and handling company who markets their product not only across Australia but also exports their commodities around the world.
There is an opportunity for an experienced ‘Int'l Logistics Professional’ who also happens to be at Mid to Senior level who boasts a in-depth career from this sector. This role is responsible for all areas relating to the import and export execution process whilst keeping lines of communication open with upper management, sales and production sites.
Thus, you will be proficient managing a portfolio of export customers and arranging shipments and documentation.
You will be responsible for:
- Day to day management of a large operational team ensuring job tasks are executed and reallocated as necessary
- Identifying & driving ongoing continuous improvement programs
- Cost reduction management; job/order costings and invoice validation
- Leading the execution of grain export shipments ensuring that the generation of all the necessary export documentation required including packing instructions, Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin, Phytosanitary Certificates, Quality/laboratory analysis certificates etc is done accurately and timely
- Payment Management; Processing grain export shipments against Letters of Credit and overseeing Debtor collections
- Rates Management including engagement with sub contractors; ports and rail authorities, container packers, laboratories, vessel agents, shipping lines, government bodies etc.
You will have proven knowledge and expertise in:
- Export & Import Supply Chain & Logistics
- I.T. systems knowledge and ideally BSM system implementation experience
- Team management and mentoring, developing staff
- Bulk handling systems, vessel loading, container packing and shipment execution
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy essential
- Multi-tasking and handling multiple priorities, be able to work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines
Salary
The candidate will be provided with an attractive remuneration package commensurate with experience. Circa $75K - 90K + super.
