We have a full-time Team Leader opportunity on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland to be part of the Logistics Team.  We are looking for someone with at least two years of experience leading a busy warehousing team, with first rate planning and organization skills who can effectively engage and collaborate with others to achieve objectives. 

You will be able to demonstrate a strong safety management culture and be actively involved in the identification of Continuous Improvement opportunities to improve processes and reduce costs.

Reporting to the Logistics Manager, your core responsibilities will include:

  • Providing leadership and guidance to the Warehouse and Distribution team to ensure the safe and accurate storage and distribution of all raw materials, packaging materials and finished goods in a secure, clean environment (ambient, chilled and frozen) and to ensure product integrity is maintained; 
  • Ensuring raw materials are available for production as per the weekly schedule; 
  • Ensure good stock rotation so that FIFO disciplines are maintained;
  • Plan and undertake stock counting as required to ensure that inventory accuracy is achieved and that inventory information is reliable;
  • Liaison with freight and off site storage service suppliers and ensure the timely receipt of inwards goods and dispatch of outwards goods, and
  • Ensure good warehousing practices are followed and that practices comply with applicable Food Safety standards.

To be considered for an interview, you will possess:

  • At least 2 years leadership experience;
  • Previous experience in FMCG;
  • Experienced in operating a high-reach forklift, and
  • Strong computer skills with specific proficiency using excel, MRP systems and experience using RF scanning.

You will be able to demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset with your experience in a lean manufacturing environment, using root cause analysis and problem-solving tools.
