One of our preferred clients , a stable Australian owned FMCG business is looking for an experienced Logistics Team Leader to join their team in Ipswich. In this position you will be responsible for the following :
- Effectively coordinate and manage distribution activities
- Ensure warehouse and surrounds are kept to company standards
- Responsible for the training and ongoing development of warehouse staff
- Responsible for analysis of current stock position and provide recommendations for improving service levels and stock holdings
- Ensure all stock is dispatched in a saleable condition and meets the standard associated with specific customer requirements
- Report any damaged goods immediately to Manager
- Effectively managing daily warehouse operations (within budget) through successful planning, scheduling and the ability to supervise and inspire direct and indirect staff to perform day to day operations
- Receiving, checking and storing away incoming stock
- Perform cycle counts and adjust IT records and reports
- Liaising closely with accounts payable team with regards to invoicing and receipting
- Assist in maintaining a clean, neat and tidy plant, warehouse and surrounding environment
- Adherence to Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) Standards
- Participate in setting the standards of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) ensuring the plant is tidy and clean
