About the role
The role of the Healthy Workers Adviser is to act as the key capacity building resource allocated to supporting peak industry bodies and business associations to develop sector wide practices and mechanisms to support sustainable positive change in the area of health and wellbeing within their member workplaces. 

As the Healthy Workers Adviser, you will provide assistance, support, and guidance to peak industry bodies and business associations (peak bodies). You will build the capacity of all interested South Australian peak bodies to advocate for and support workplace health and wellbeing action at an industry and workplace level. This role is expected to contribute to initiatives which promote ongoing industry commitment to health and wellbeing.

-Demonstrated ability to work across a broad range of stakeholders at all levels of organisations to build relationships, advocate for and negotiate outcomes and influence change. 
-Excellent interpersonal skills, including empathy, demonstrated by successful team work and effective working relationships and ability to build rapport with stakeholders.  
-Demonstrated high level communication skills including written and verbal and ability to chair meetings and forums to drive specific outcomes. 
-Ability to provide relevant and timely advice, tailored to the needs of stakeholders. 
-Proven ability to identify and analyse complex problems, apply strategic solutions and to provide expert advice. 
-Proven report writing ability with high level of attention to detail.
-High level ability to determine priorities and to work within limited timeframes, ensuring that deadlines are met. 
-Ability to show leadership and independence while working under broad direction, including direction from a number of sources often with varied interests. 
-Proven ability to lead discussions and negotiate at senior management level.
-A high level of self-motivation and initiative.

Experience & Knowledge
-Experience in project co-ordination, implementation or management.  
-Experience in leading or implementing organisational change efforts.  
-High level experience in engaging and maintaining partnerships with and providing tailored advice to a range of people and organisations. 
-Demonstrated experience in leading workplace or industry interventions to promote health and wellbeing and/or business outcomes using a range of strategies (e.g. capacity building, policy, resource development and communication, physical environment changes, intersectoral collaboration).
-Experience in developing and/or implementing project evaluation strategies to determine project success. 
-Experience with a range of computer programs and efficient computer skills. 
-Sound understanding of evidence-based workplace health and wellbeing approaches.
-Knowledge of change management principles and methodologies. 
-Understanding of the varied roles of peak industry bodies and business associations and potential barriers to implementing change in an industry setting. 
-Knowledge of health promotion and public health principles and practices, specifically as they relate to the workplace setting.
-Knowledge and understanding of Work, Health and Safety (WHS).
-Understanding of an integrated approach to workplace health, safety and wellbeing
