We currently have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a CHPP Maintenance Co-ordinator to join our team at Carborough Downs. Reporting directly to the CHPP Manager, the role of the CHPP Maintenance Co-ordinator is responsible for supporting the safe and efficient production of coal by planning and scheduling all maintenance work, troubleshooting equipment availability and reliability problems. You will also be charged with providing direction and coordinate shutdowns that allow for both scheduled and required maintenance work to be carried out with the least disruption to the plant’s function and in the safest, most efficient manner.

 Key Responsibilities of the role will include:

• Ensuring that all maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with relevant coal mining legislation and requirements.
• Develop Long, Medium and Short Term Maintenance Plans and Schedules.
• Management of all aspects of plant & mobile breakdown maintenance to ensure that repairs are completed safely, and efficiently.
• Collaborating with the CHPP Superintendent, actively reviewing the plans generated to ensure plans are logical, realistic and achievable.
• Maintaining a knowledge and understanding of costs of maintenance and assisting Superintendent with budget and cost control processes.
• Reviewing shutdown performance and developing action plans to achieve improvement.
• Contributes to the development of a positive and collaborative organisational culture

Got what it takes?

To be successful in this role you will hold a Mechanical Trade Certificate as a minimum and must be able to demonstrate significant previous experience working in a Coal Handling Preparation Plant. As the ideal candidate, you will have competencies in S1, S2 and S3 and possess previous planning, scheduling and  supervisory experience in a similar role and a demonstrated commitment to the achievement of business goals and outcomes. You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills along with an ability to influence others at all levels within the organisation. You will have strong practical experience in developing and leading workgroups and contractors in the fixed plant & mobile plant maintenance field and be proficient in the use of maintenance management systems such as Pulse, SAP or MIMS
