About Jacinth-Ambrosia
Jacinth-Ambrosia is located 270 kilometres north of the Port of Thevenard, near Ceduna. It is the world’s largest source of zircon, and a tier 1 deposit with extensive reserves. It is the first mining development in a mixed use regional reserve – the Yellabina Regional Reserve – in South Australia, with the operation demonstrating a commitment to high environmental standards, including progressive land rehabilitation, as well as a commitment to indigenous employment, which currently comprises 20 per cent of the work force. About the Role
Applications are invited for the position of Field Services Coordinator at the Jacinth-Ambrosia mine. The position is offered as a full time permanent position, working an 8:6/7:7 days/nights roster arrangement, fly in/fly out from Adelaide or Ceduna. Full camp facilities and flights from Adelaide (or Ceduna) are provided.
The Field Services Coordinator is accountable for the installation and positioning of all field based tailings and dewatering systems. The Field Services Coordinator supervises a team of five operators and must ensure tails fill plans are met and geotechnical principals are adhered to with respect to tails.
Key accountabilities of the role include:
- assist with development of operational & safety procedures and actively promote safety and environmental awareness amongst Iluka and contract personnel;
- an ability to develop, maintain and review all tails and dewatering procedures;
- minimising down time associated with deployment of field based plant and infrastructure;
- the safe and effective execution of civil works and small scale infrastructure relocation project schedules; and
- development, coaching and mentoring of the field services team.
To be successful in this role you will have previous mine site experience in a same or similar role and:
- an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental, social responsibility and sustainable development;
- a proven ability to provide training and instruction to ensure effectiveness across the Field Services team;
- experience in developing and motivating members of a team and the ability to provide strong direction when needed;
- demonstrated problem solving ability;
- demonstrated experience in a Coordinator/team leader level role; and
- a background in dewatering and/or civil construction.
Applicants will possess initiative, have a demonstrated commitment to quality and continuous improvement and will be focused on undertaking safe and efficient practices in accordance with established Iluka standards. A full or restricted Quarry Managers Qualification would be held in high regard.
