We are pleased to be currently recruiting for South32 for their Alumina Refinery based in Worsley.
The Role:
The key purpose of the Reliability Engineer is to provide technical expertise and develop strategies to protect and maintain the reliability of site infrastructure and equipment at South32's Worsley Refinery Operation.
Responsibilities will include:
• Provision of technical expertise to maintenance teams
• Development of maintenance strategies to ensure operating targets are met
• Analysis of failure, investigations and reported defects
• Lead cost reduction and reliability improvement projects
• Ensure inspection and maintenance of safety critical equipment is compliant with legislative and statutory requirements
• Encourage and mentor peers and colleagues
About you:
It is essential you bring a proven track record in a similar role within maintenance and reliability. Your ability to diagnose system faults, analyse technical issues and determine suitable actions is key. You will be proficient in being able to interpret information, including test reports and bring your technical expertise to drive effective elimination through problem solving.
In addition, you will bring the following:
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Proven experience in the field of engineering and maintenance activities
• Experience in Root Cause Analysis and continuous improvement techniques
• Familiarity with Australian pressure vessel and tank codes
• Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office and advanced Excel
