My client is seeking an underground geologist, position is FIFO from Perth on 8:6 roster, must have 5 plus years experience.
Key responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Contributing to the production of daily mine geological services through visual inspections, mapping, core logging, geological interpretation, geological modelling and grade estimation Assisting in planning, implementation and supervision of underground diamond drilling programs for grade control, resource definition and near mine exploration Participating in the development, production, management meetings, improvement of grade control and resource modelling systems The
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science (Geology)
- Current "C" Class WA Licence
- 5-7 years' experience in undergroud, structurally controlled deposits, majority in Gold
- Maptek Vulcan software skills
- Member of AIG or AusIMM
- Awareness of the Mine, Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations
- Commitment to safety in the workplace.
