We have a new opportunity for a hands-on Zero Harm Advisor to support our specialist Gas Distribution Division based at Derrimut. This role supports a geographically diverse workforce across West Metro area of Melbourne and Western Victoria delivering 24/7 fault and emergency response, planned maintenance activities, systems operation, customer connection activities and cyclic and special meter reading for gas networks.
Exposure in the Utilities industry space would be highly regarded (but not essential) with the ability to influence and engage a wide range of stakeholders and maintain strong relationships with both operational and management personnel to achieve best outcomes.
ABOUT YOU
Ideally you will possess 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role with exposure to soft tissue injury prevention (highly regarded) together with;
- Diploma or higher qualification in Occupational Health and Safety. A QSA auditor certificate and/or training & assessment qualifications would be highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to Occupational Health & Safety, Quality Management and Environmental principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to influence at various business levels
- Highly developed time management, planning and organisational skills
- Investigation of incidents, injuries or breaches of OH&S and environment procedures
- Manage incident reporting within Downer and Client systems
- Auditing the workplace for Safety & Quality compliance
- Strong computer and data analysis skills that extend to report collation and presentation
- Managing Worksafe, ESV and client safety compliance
- Assist with on boarding (SQE assessments).
- Demonstrated ability to develop Zero Harm improvement plans to drive and promote proactive safety awareness programs
