Round Oak Minerals is a subsidiary of Washington H. Soul Pattinson & Co Ltd (WHSP). This includes a Cloncurry Operations with a centralised processing facility located 4km from the township of Cloncurry in North Queensland servicing a number of mining tenements in the area. Additionally, Round Oak Minerals also has projects in South Australia, Victoria and has just recently acquired a Jaguar Mine in Western Australia. 2018 is shaping up to be a year of significant growth for the Company.
The Role
Working an 8/6 roster FIFO from Perth to Lenora mine site, this role will see the right candidate be involved in a range of activities as well have a strong focus on developing a positive culture within the operation.
About the role:
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial and management reporting and analysis
- Manage/review requests for capital expenditure (AFEs)
- Maintain the fixed asset register
- Manage/submit royalty payments and reporting to DMIRs
- Adhoc financial reporting and analysis as required
- Assist with developing and maintaining the company’s accounting processes and procedures
Skills, experience & attributes sought:
- 4+ years' accounting experience ideally in FIFO mining or construction industry
- Qualifications in finance or a business related degree
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to communicate at all levels
- Strong attention to detail, planning and organisational skills
- Ability to work efficiently and autonomously
- Pronto experience ideal
- A team player with a can do attitude with a hunger and willingness to learn
