An exciting opportunity exists for permanent full time position for an experienced Diesel Fitter in the Emerald area. If you are looking for a permanent full time role that offers great work life balance, tool and housing allowance, ability to do overtime shifts plus bonuses this is the role for you. To be successful for this exciting opportunity you must have:
- A relevant trade automotive qualification (heavy diesel / light or heavy automotive)
- Extensive experience in the service & maintenance of on-highway diesel engines
- Solid technical aptitude, diagnostic & IT skills
- Have an engaging approach to your work
About the role
Our client is a high performing operation with a high mix of Mining & Automotive focus. Reporting to the Service Manager, you would primarily be responsible for both workshop and field service support to our clients end- users (covering on-highway, off-highway and High Horse Power products up to 3000HP).
Responsibilities
- Breakdown trouble shooting, diagnostics and repair on a range of engines on our customers sites
- Scheduled, preventative and breakdown maintenance tasks within the workshop
- Product trouble shooting (mechanical and electrical diagnosis)
- Be the technical go to for our customers
- Keep all records and documentation ship shape
- Work safe, every task, every day
