The Opportunity:
We currently have an exciting opportunity at our Jundee operation for an experienced Safety & Emergency Response Advisor on a FIFO 8/6 roster.
Reporting to the Senior OHS Advisor you will be responsible for providing onsite support and advice on safety/health systems across the Jundee operation with a particular focus on Emergency Response and ERT.
The Role:
- Coordinate training for the Emergency Response Team.
- Coordinate emergency control, response and recovery resources.
- Maintain and undertake regular maintenance and servicing of safety/emergency response equipment.
- First Responder for Injury/Incident Management, including acting in an afterhours "On Call" capacity.
- Maintain the site emergency response plan and related procedures.
- Coordinate and undertake the site drug and alcohol testing.
- Provide advice and support to site leaders in the implementation of OHS policies and procedures.
- Develop, implement and maintain safe work procedures and promote high safety awareness.
- Undertake regular inspection of work areas/equipment to ensure safe operations.
- Participation/Facilitation of Incident Investigations and Risk Assessments.
What we are looking for:
- Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety
- Certificate III Mine Emergency Response and Rescue
- Certificate II Emergency Medical Service First Response
- Certificate IV Workplace Training & Assessment
- Current "C" Class Western Australian Drivers Licence.
- Experience in delivering safety advice in a mining environment
- Experience in auditing, inspections & incident investigation and reporting
- Working knowledge of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.
- Effective delivery of training materials
- High level of effective communication, written and verbal
