We are currently seeking a qualified Hazardous Area Electrical Technician with a Full RAC1 ( Refrigeration and Air Conditioning license)for our Surat Basin business.
Qualifications :
- Certificate 3 Electrotechnology
- RAC 1 Full Refrigeration License Qualification
- QLD Electrical License
- Certificate 4 Hazardous Area
- Certificate 3 Instrumenataion and Control ( preferred but not essential )
- Certificate 4 Instrument and Control
This role is on a 15/13 roster within our Southern Plant Team (Dalby )
About the Role
The role of the Technician is responsible for ensuring the compliance of company safety policy and contribute in eliminating and reducing risk within our Southern Plant
Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge
- Electrical Trade background with experience in Oil & Gas Industry in Maintenance in a Plant ( Cert 3 Electrotechnology)
- Full Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Full RAC1 License
- Hazardous Area Cert Within 3 Years
- Must comply with the QLD Natural Gas ( 12 months in the last 2 years in QLD Gas or hold an Industry Safety Certificate or willing to get )
- Experience/competence with maintenance of Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas
- Emergency Shut Down system and associated field device maintenance experience
- Fire & Gas Detection system
- Proven experience in the use of a CMMS ( corrective maintenance systems)
- Experienced user of business IT systems
- Permit to Work experience
- Execute / perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on plant and equipment, safely and effectively, and provide technical assistance, as required, to the Operations Team
- Execute maintenance per the approved weekly schedule as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor
- Demonstrate high quality fault finding skills and the ability to troubleshoot autonomously, whilst adhering to all procedures
- Maintain maintenance registers and databases for Operations and site specific equipment and systems Support PM & CM Team leader by
- Advice and recommendations on improvements in production and planned maintenance.
- input to design change implementation
- participation in HAZOP reviews
- feedback on preventative plans
- Ensure compliance to Hazardous Area Electrical requirements are always met when performing maintenance
