Job description - MES- Manufacturing Execution System Solution Architect Mining Industry Experience
A Solution Architect to work on the initiative, throughout the Identification and Selection study phases to undertake the following:
1. provide solution options to meet business, functional and non-functional requirements
2. develop the high-level solution architecture
3. ensure compliance with enterprise architecture and standards
4. identify and resolve system, infrastructure, integration and project interdependencies
5. advise on assessment and selection of technology and devices to ensure a fit-for-purpose outcome
6. recommend, with justification, the solution option to adopt
7. produce project artefacts (e.g. high level architecture and design documents)
8. conduct and participate in workshops with business and Technology representatives
9. work collaboratively to ensure the project deliverables are achieved on time
Skill Set:
1. At least 5 years of solid experience as a Solution architect (or Enterprise Architect) in the Metals and mining industry and extensive knowledge in the MES subject area
2. TOGAF certified
3. Knowledge of ISA-95 concepts and must have used them for MES Solution designs (COTS and bespoke) in the metals and mining industry
4. Knowledge of mining and metals industry business processes is preferred.
5. Experienced in producing architecture models in all four domains i.e. BDAT
6. Knowledge of modelling tools and notation e.g. iserver and archimate respectively
7. Understands the integration patterns like Request response, Pub Sub and integration architecture concepts
8. Must have worked in integration of MES with ERP and Control Systems.
9. Must be a good collaborator and have excellent written and communication skills
10. Previous experience as a Development lead or Software architect is preferred
Must have experience in large programs of work
Good to Have Skills: Some University Degree but not mandatory
