Round Oak Minerals is a subsidiary of Washington H. Soul Pattinson & Co Ltd (WHSP). This includes a Cloncurry Operations with a centralised processing facility located 4km from the township of Cloncurry in North Queensland servicing a number of mining tenements in the area. Additionally, Round Oak Minerals also has projects in South Australia, Victoria and has just recently acquired the Jaguar Mine in Western Australia. 2018 is shaping up to be a year of significant growth for the Company.
The Role
We are currently looking for an experienced Underground Bogger and a Tele Remote Bogger Operators for our Jaguar Operation. Reporting to the Underground Shift Supervisor, on a 2:1 roster FIFO from Perth, you will be an integral part of the Jaguar Underground Mining Team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- The operation of underground Caterpiller equipment to achieve site business objectives in a safe and efficient manner;
- Transportation or bogging of waste rock or ore onto trucks or to various locations of the mining operation;
- Work independently and with the team to ensure goals and objectives are achieved;
- Communicate with people at different levels within the organisation to ensure efficiency of tasks being undertaken;
- Applying housekeeping program to maintain a safe work environment; and
- Any other tasks given to you by your Shift Supervisor.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a smilair role whitin an underground mining environment;
- For Tele Remote Bogger applicants previous experience ustilising a direct tele remote system-RCT is essential;
- Excellent personal and professional standards aligned to the company values;
- Bogger ticket;
- Dangerous Goods Security Card;
- National Police Clearance obtained within the last 3 months;
- Working at Heights ticket;
- Current Australian manual Driver’s Licence; and
- Have an excellent safety record and ongoing, strong commitment to workplace safety.
