As an ASX 200 and perennial high performing mining services business, Mineral Resources Limited (MRL) has and continues to develop a world-class portfolio of mining operations, mining services and greenfield projects. To ensure we meet the ongoing opportunities and challenges associated with growth, we are currently seeking a Principal - Mine Improvement to join the Mine Planning team based in Applecross.
Reporting to the Operations Manager – Mine Planning, your main responsibilities will include;
- Managing a portfolio of improvement projects across MRL’s mining operations
- Maintaining a database of mobile fleet performance productivity data and providing reports and gap analysis as required
- Supporting the EGM, Operations Managers and site teams in the execution of cost, quality and productivity initiatives
- Ensuring the highest value projects are prioritised
- Reporting on the status of in-flight projects
- Leading the mine optimisation function
Key Requirements:
- Tertiary level qualifications in geoscience or engineering or similar
- A minimum of 10 years open cut mining operations and technical services experience
- Experience in structured improvement methodology
- Have an understanding of Project Management principles
- Managing change where multiple stakeholder groups are impacted.
Ideally we are seeking a well orgainsed individual with the ability to manage a diverse range of activity. You will possess strong communications skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation. Naturally curious, you will be self-motivated to reach into all areas of the mining operation. Previous change management experience will be highly desirable.
