This organisation is different. Most firms in the large scale utility solar markets today are purely focused on their next big utility scale solar farm, and whilst this firm is involved in those projects, it is not their sole focus in this diverse market where there are so many brilliant business opportunities.
Due to this exciting growth period for their business with projects about to come online, a Project manager is now required to join this organisation, located in Sydney, on a permanent basis. This role whilst based in Sydney will see you travel to their project locations nationally on a monthly basis. Below is a snap shot of a typical working day in this role:
You will be working from the head office in Sydney. You will liaise very closely with the sales and business development teams as well as the developers to ensure the projects in the pipeline have the best possible opportunities afforded to them to be successful. You will also be focused on ensuring current projects are running efficiently, by using your expertise from previous large scale solar farm projects to ensure these projects run like clockwork and liaising with the site teams.
Once a month you will travel out to your sites and liaise with the site delivery teams, giving you the opportunity to get hands on with your projects as well as providing that extra level of support to the site delivery team. Effectively you become the link between the office and site in this position.
