Downer's Engineering, Construction & Maintenance division supports our customers through the asset life cycle, from initial feasibility and design through to construction, commissioning, operation, ongoing asset management and decommissioning.
We are currently seeking applications for an experienced Asset and Engineering Manager. Your role will be responsible for:
- Providing direction and advice to site leaders.
- Providing supervision and assistance in regards to contract estimating.
- Establishing and maintaining facilities maintenance deliverables and meet contractual and planning requirements.
- Proactively assisting with management and transition of the contract.
- Providing all necessary resources to execute the contract including approving the selection of subcontractors.
- Ensuring personnel are suitably skilled to undertake assigned work tasks. Provide guidance to relevant team members.
- Drive the development of code compliant plant and equipment.
- In conjunction with Contract staff prepare detailed plans identifying sequencing of works, methodologies and work packages required by the contract/ statutes.
- Providing commitment and support to ensure all aspects of the Contract Management Plan and Compliance systems are implemented.
- Monitoring the planning the progress of Contracts to ensure that productivity, quality, and cost objectives are met. Ensure corrective actions are implemented if threats to programme/ budget occur.
- Reviewing and approving the contract change management processes, variations, and program in conjunction with the relevant Contract members.
To be successful you will have:
- Degree / Diploma in Asset / Engineering Management or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in asset / engineering management / maintenance environment, preferably with hard FM / Maintenance experience.
- Experience in major multidiscipline style Contracts.
- Extensive leadership experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels of authority, including strong relationship building and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead an operational team balancing delegation of responsibility & authority with maintenance of control.
- High degree of technical understanding within specialist field.
- Time management skills.
