We are pleased to be recruiting for South32 at their GEMCO operation on Groote Eylandt.
The Role:
In the position of Reliability Specialist (Mechanical) you will report directly into the Senior Reliability Engineer and Maintenance Engineer. You will be responsible for assisting the Fixed Plant Maintenance Reliability team in data analysis, engineering and defect elimination to improve the availability and performance of the GEMCO assets.
Responsibilities include however are not limited to:
• Actively support the Maintenance Reliability team in areas of safety, cost reduction and production improvement
• Conduct Root Cause Failure Analysis on equipment
• Analyse and report on plant equipment availability and reliability
• Assist Senior Reliability Engineer with input to financial budgeting, forecasting, monitoring and reporting
• Champion the Fixed Plant Condition Monitoring Program to improve asset management practices
About you:
The successful candidate will bring 5 years+ in a similar role within the mining or heavy industry. A solid understanding of reliability centred maintenance principles is key together with excellent analytical and investigative skills focused on fixed plant equipment. Experience in the use of operational and condition monitoring data to develop preventative maintenance strategies is essential.
Additionally, you will possess:
• A Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Reliability Engineering or Asset Management
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and reporting
• Proficiency in SAP, PMO2000, MS Office, Apollo RCA would be highly regarded
