We are pleased to be recruiting for South32 at their GEMCO operation on Groote Eylandt.
The Role:
In the position of Electrical Reliability Engineer you will report directly into the Senior Reliability Engineer and be responsible for assisting the Fixed Plant Maintenance Reliability team in data analysis, engineering and defect elimination to improve the availability and performance of the GEMCO assets.
Responsibilities include however are not limited to:
• Perform a high level of data analytics to optimise maintenance strategies and identify production and reliability improvement opportunities
• Conduct Root Cause Failure Analysis
• Identify and implement improvement and defect elimination projects
• Build relationships with original equipment manufacturers
• Provide technical expertise to operation
• Work to support quality and safe execution of maintenance work
• Ensure all events are documented and tracked
About you:
The successful candidate will bring 5 years+ in a similar role within the mining industry. A solid understanding of reliability centred maintenance principles is key together with excellent analytical and investigative skills focused on fixed plant equipment. Additionally, you will possess:
• A Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering
• Experience in power generation
• Knowledge of PLC/SCADA control systems
• Proficiency in MMS, Downtime, Data Analysis, Microsoft Office, Autodesk Inventor, Conveyor Design ad Apollo RCA would be highly regarded
You will possess a strong commitment to safety, health and environmental principles and procedures in the workplace. You will be an individual who actively participates in team engagement and collaboration sessions and takes accountability.
