The Mining Group is coordinated through a network of mining specialists located in our North America, Latin America and EMEA & APAC (Europe, Middle East, Africa, Australia and Asia Pacific) regions.  The Mining Group provides a series of unique service packages that cover environment, mine design, operation and waste management, and mine closure and rehabilitation.
 
We are seeking Mine Closure Planners or Specialists to work closely with our multidisciplinary teams of scientists and engineers to develop and deliver integrated mine closure solutions. As a key member of the Golder Mining Group, this role will support the growth of our mine closure business in line with our business plan and strategy.   The successful person will have a track record in mine closure, working within teams, and have experience in mining operations. 
In this role you will provide support to our Principal Mine Closure Consultants, work on interesting projects domestically and abroad.  You will be part of a focused team with a clear vision and strategy and will be provided a mentor and have a career development plan.
 
Primary functions:

• In collaboration with senior members of the Closure Team grow a mine closure service in line with our strategy. 
• Deliver leading practice consulting services to internal and external clients in the areas of mine closure. 
• Develop winning proposals and deliver projects safely, on time, within budget and to client and Golder’s standards
• Work collaboratively with senior members of the Closure Team to undertake business development, develop and maintain relationships with a broad client base
• Establish linkages with other business units to support and enhance service delivery

Qualifications & Experience:

• Relevant Degree within Environmental Science or Engineering
• Professional Registration
• Experience at a consulting firm
• Project Management Skills
• Demonstrated business development experience
