Your new company
This mining house situated in North West Queensland is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for a permanent role in Mt Isa.
Your new role
Reporting to the Engineering Superintendent you will be responsible for providing electrical assistance to a multi-disciplinary engineering team, performing electrical calculations for safe and efficient component upgrades or replacements, engaging and managing external suppliers and design consultants, developing and reviewing electrical drawings, developing budget estimates for project work and managing projects to deliver efficient, cost effective maintenance and reliability targets. This is a permanent role in Mt Isa so applicants must be able to relocate for the position. Relocation and accommodation assistance are available.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will have a relevant tertiary qualification within Electrical Engineering and prior experience working in mining or heavy industry. Ideally you will have experience with Excel VBA and Process Control System (Yokogawa CS3000 and Allen Bradley). You will have strong project and contractor management experience and be able to complete electrical projects from conceptual design phase through to completion. As this role will require you to liaise with a range of operational staff it is vital that you have excellent written and verbal communications skills and strong leadership abilities.
