Australia The Gift is an Australian owned and operated souvenir and Giftware company that has been around for than 50 years, with 20 plus stores around Australia and continues to grow. A Managers opportunity has become available for the right candidate to join in managing an exciting and store in Glenelg - Jetty Road .
The successful applicant will be passionate about customer service, have a natural flair for merchandising and be a values driven leader of people. An energetic retailer with a proven track record of high performance and ability to deliver results will win in this customer and people focused culture.
As Store Manager you will be able to:
• Drive a passionate and energetic customer focused retail store
• Deliver a consistent sales result through the engagement of a high performance team
• Maximise the P&L through solid cost, shrinkage and administrative disciplines
• Leadership, management and development of store team members
• Contribute to creating a collaborative and fun team environment
• Operate with exceptional merchandising standards and inventory management
• Effective communication with key suppliers and company stakeholders
• Ability to be dynamic and maximise results by identifying seasonal opportunities and customer trends
• Strategic skills to enhance the monthly store result through proactive trading tactics that deliver on key KPI's
To be successful in this role you will be:
• With three plus years experience as an Assistant Manager of a fast paced and hands on retail/hospitality environment
• A customer focused retailer with a track record of leading from the front
• Committed to engaging a mainly tourist customer with an amazing store experience
• Proven ability to understand and successfully influence the P&L
• A strong leader with a core focus on people, values and company culture
• Fun, energetic, passionate and motivated to succeed
