Can you imagine a world where food is dull and flavourless? We can’t, neither can our client. We’re helping a growing food retailer in finding them their first Supply Chain Manager to join their team. They inspire people to creative cooking and bring pleasure and passion into their kitchens.

About the role:

This is a very hands-on role where you will build their supply chain strategy. You’ll drive the production plan for both internal and external production facilities while maintaining a consistent on-time supply of inventory and finding ways to increase their retail margins. Further:

- You’ll plan production cycles, ensuring the in-time supply of all materials are delivered to the production facilities and maintain accurate stock-on-hand data to ensure stock holdings are kept to a minimum.
- You’ll organise the logistics of the finished products from both internal and external production facilities to each sales channel, including retail outlets and wholesale customers, ensuring zero outages.
- You’ll ensure the compliance of local food labelling laws is adhered to.
- You’ll forecast appropriate inventory levels by SKU to meet sales projections, maintaining a rolling 6-month supply plan and Ensure all inbound products are assessed for tariff concessions and lodged if applicable.
- You’ll negotiate trading terms and work with our team of buyers, to ensure seasonal products are ordered early enough to ensure on-time delivery and develop of cost saving initiatives.
- You’ll provide the business with accurate reports and work within the cash flow models
- You’ll ensure all products have an accurate COGS figure and are meeting margin expectations at all times.

This is a standalone role and we’d like you to know that you won’t have much support initially for quite some time but rather help our client understand and improve key supply chain principles from day one.

About you:

This role is perfect for someone who has experience in supply chain functions in the retail and FMCG space and someone who wants to provide a supply chain perspective on key business decisions. Plus-points if you’re a “foodie”.

Ideally, your profile looks something like this:

- You have a degree level qualification in Supply Chain (SC) or another relevant discipline.
- You have a track record in managing multiple, complex SC projects.
- You’ll pride yourself with an exceptional attention to detail, paired with a strong analytical mind.
- You’ve helped previous organisations increase their margins and reduced unnecessary cost by implementing cost saving initiatives.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of key supply chain principles.
- You’re able to consult internal stakeholders and manage external relationships.
- You’re experienced in identifying and improving processes to ensure seamless inventory delivery at store level.

This is a permanent full-time role with a growing business that has strong values and really cares about its people and a good work-life balance. Inner suburb location, offered salary package ranges from $85.000 – $105.000 + Super.
