Outbound Shift Supervisor
The Position Outline To supervise the Outbound Team (Picking & Dispatch) through planning, organising, leading and controlling all outbound activities; making sure all orders are picked and ready for dispatch in accordance with the picking and store delivery schedule.
Hours: 6am - 2pm
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize and supervise daily stores’ order picking & outbound workflows to make sure all orders are picked in full and on time in line with the delivery schedule; and in the process achieving the agreed KPIs
- Provide hands on leadership and engagement of a team
- Ensure all store orders are submitted on time as agreed and released for picking; and correct resources allocated
- Provide a strong presence on the floor to assist in the development of continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain a Safe Working Environment in accordance with the Baby Bunting Safety Management Policy
- Monitor and improve on productivity KPIs relating to Picking, Stock Replenishments, Dispatch Pallet Merging, Wrapping and Stagging
- Organise, Motivate and Supervise the Picking & Dispatch Team in making sure all orders are picked, packed and ready for dispatch in a timely manner and within the set budget
- Work closely with the Inventory Management Team to make sure the allocation of stock in pick locations is done in a way that drives efficiency gains on picking activities
- Train and ensure all policies and procedures for order processing are followed
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 3yrs experience in a leadership role within an order processing environment
- Must have a Forklift License
- Self-motivated, high attention to detail, professional and hardworking
- Demonstrated ability to accomplish tasks
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic and positive attitude
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
- Possess excellent problem solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Able to work in a fast paced, challenging environment
