THE POSITION:
Based in our Head Office in Newcastle NSW, the ideal candidate will be a results-driven and passionate marketing enthusiast with graphic design skills, who will provide support in the implementation of marketing strategies and coordinate marketing activities across Australia.
As the Marketing Assistant, you will be responsible for undertaking basic market research, assist in the preparation of sales forecasts and marketing budgets and the preparation of product presentations and proposals.
You will also need to demonstrate your ability in event management, production of brochures, and other print material, your problem-solving skills with a high level of communication and confidence in presenting data and findings to different levels within the business.
While you don’t need to have in-depth knowledge about conveyor services and products, it is imperative that you are passionate about international brand growth and achieving set business objectives.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Graphic Design
- Assist with the design, production and distribution of marketing material including electronic presentations, brochures and promotional items;
- Liaise with external agencies regarding the design process;
- Assist with the development of articles, case studies and newsletters;
- Assist in the management of the website and social media accounts, including copy writing and image placement and design;
- Provide a high level of marketing support to each of the internal business units;
- Assist with the development and implementation of marketing strategies and campaigns;
- Maintain marketing budget;
- Internal and external event management.
THE IDEAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing/Communications
- Knowledge, basic skills and experience using the Adobe Suite, Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, or similar;
- Graphic Design experience
- Proven experience with at least 12 months in a similar role;
- Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills;
- Previous experience in an industrial/mining environment.
