The Organisation:

Youth Off The Streets is a non-denominational community organisation working for disadvantaged young people who may be homeless, drug dependent and / or recovering from  abuse. Youth Off The Streets supports these young people as they work to turn their lives around and overcome immense personal trauma such as neglect, physical, psychological and / or emotional abuse.

It is our goal that these young people will leave our care drug free, with a high school education, living skills and a full time or part time job in hand.

The Role:

The Direct Marketing team plays an important role in connecting donors to our cause and inspiring them to act. Most of our services are not government funded, and therefore donations are vital to the ongoing operation and availability of programs for our young people. Our aim is to grow and nurture our supporter base by making our donors feel recognised and appreciated for the part they play in breaking the cycle of disadvantage and helping vulnerable young people in need.

The Direct Marketing Coordinator is essential in delivering this vision, particularly through our Fundraising Appeals, Regular Giving and Retention activity. • Assist with Regular Giving program including supporter journey communications (e.g. direct mail, email) and liaising with agencies throughout production (e.g. designer, mail house)
  • Plan and coordinate content and production of the Streets Ahead newsletter to donors
  • General support for the Fundraising team such as coordinating team activities, providing support for events, tracking/replenishing in-house stationery, and day-to-day administrative activities

  • Current drivers licence
  • Rights to work in Australia
  • Clear police and criminal records
  • Passion for working in the not-for-profit industry
  • Sympathetic to the YOTS cause, with an understanding of the benefits of working with disaffected young people
